This two-day workshop equips kaiako of all levels with insights into neurodevelopment, trauma-informed teaching, and inclusive education through a Mātauranga Māori lens. Day 1 explores the Te Whare o Oro model, using traditional metaphors to understand brain function, trauma impact, and strategies for supporting neurodiverse learners. Day 2 focuses on creating inclusive learning environments, applying frameworks like Te Tūāpapa o He Pikorua and Universal Design for Learning to support all ākonga effectively.
